International News: Search launched for 2 missing American minors in Mexico

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Authorities in Mexico have launched a search for 2 missing American minors that went missing in Nuevo Leon, Reuters report.

The 16-year-old girl and 9-year-old boy were last seen on March 17 and the State’s attorney general office said that the minors could be in imminent danger.

The missing minors have been identified as Aranza Yosemiti Monfort and her brother Hugo Yarset Monfort Luna.

Earlier this month, 4 Americans were abducted in Tamaulipas, 2 of them were killed in an attack that officials believe was linked to a cartel.

The U.S. State Department has also warned against travel to Mexico due to crime.
