Jamaican poultry importing companies express interest in buying Belizean chicken, meet with Ministry of Agriculture

Jamaican poultry importing companies that have expressed interest in buying Belizean chicken have met with the Ministry of Agriculture.

“Representatives from poultry importing companies in Jamaica met with Government Officials from the Ministry of Agriculture Food Security and Enterprise, Foreign Trade and the Belize Agriculture Health Authority to discuss Jamaica’s interest in buying poultry products from Belize,” MAFSE said in a brief on social media.

According to MAFSE, the Jamaican companies’ interest in Belizean poultry results from rising prices of poultry worldwide which is making importing countries to look for mew markets.

This move could surely boost the Belizean poultry industry.
