Belize Men’s National Team draw 3-3 with combined San Pedro Pirates-Verdes prior to Guatemala game

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Men’s National Team (BMNT) drew 3-3 with a combined San Pedro Pirates-Verdes squad on Tuesday night at Ambergris Stadium in San Pedro.

The friendly was a preparation match for the BMNT which is playing Guatemala at 8:00 pm on Friday at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan in the Concacaf Nations League (CNL) B.

Michael Salazar scored a brace and Krisean López hit the other for the BMNT, but the star of the night was San Pedro’s Andir Chi who hammered a hat trick for the Sam Pedro-Verdes combination.

The BMNT is to play the Dominican Republic in Santo Domingo in their final match in the CNL B’s Group D.

“We want to thank the fans, the Football Federation of Belize – FFB, Verdes FC and all the lovely ball boys that assisted us on a very last-minute match in the Ambergris Stadium. Glad to see a spectacular game. And even more fulfilling to hear the fans satisfied with an intense performance,” the San Pedro Pirates said.

“Now let’s go Jaguars!”
