By Breaking Belize News Staff: The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) is considering what action to take after the Stann Creek Football Association Chairman was accused of committing acts of gender-based violence.
The FFB issued a statement saying that it has been made aware of the allegations but is allowing for due process to take its course.
“The FFB has a zero-tolerance policy where gender-based violence and any other form of violence is concerned and is currently monitoring the events that unfolded. The matter is now in the court and depending on its outcome, FFB shall act accordingly,” the FFB said.
The Federation also noted that the matter is under investigation and currently there are no further updates available.
The FFB is known for taking a strong stance against gender-based violence, taking swift action to support referee Yuri Daniels and condemning football player Darnell Mosiah back in 2018 when he assaulted Daniels at a football match.
