Tracy Panton says Government offers no REAL solutions to ‘crippling’ cost of living

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: At today’s sitting of the House of Representatives, Area Representative for Albert, Tracy Panton criticized the Prime Minister and his administration saying that the budget offers no real solutions for the “crippling” cost of living.

“The Prime Minister has no idea what poverty feels like, sleepless nights for those who have to grapple with how they will put food on the table, how they will keep the lights on, how they will send their children to school and if they will have access to affordable health care and how to protect their livelihoods,” Panton said.

In addition, Panton says that the budget “fails miserably” in addressing the concerns of producers and MSMEs.

Panton questioned Government’s plan to mitigate the high cost of fuel that contributes to inflation.

“What is government plan to mitigate the high cost of fuel at pump that has contributed to doubling of inflation on a society that cannot continue to bear this kind of price gouging on fuel by government itself,” Panton added.
