Posted: Friday, March 24, 2023. 1:17 pm CST.

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: In response to recent comments made by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the Mexican President has denied that parts of the country are controlled by cartels.

According to Reuters, this week, Blinken said that it was “fair to say” that parts of Mexico were controlled by cartels instead of the government.

However, Mexico’s President, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said that- that is false.

“There is no place in the country that does not have the presence of authorities,” Lopez Obrador said.

In addition, the Mexican President denied that the country is responsible for the quantities of the drug entering the United States.
