Traffic accident claims man’s life on Southern Highway

By BBN Staff: Police are investigating a road traffic accident that claimed the life of a man on Thursday morning.

According to reports, around 5:20 am, a bus being driven by Ramon Arteaga, 54, was heading in the direction of Bella Vista to San Isidro on the Southern Highway when between miles 44 and 45, a man ran across the road.

The bus hit the man and he died at the scene.

The body of the unidentified man was transported to the Southern Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police investigation continues.
