Belize City teenager stabbed while going to the shop

By Aaron Humes: Police have identified a suspect in a stabbing incident reported on Friday night in Belize City.

According to James Nunez, Sr., someone came to inform him that his son had been stabbed on M&M Street and had been transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for medical treatment of wounds to his chest and hands.

James Nunez, Jr., 14 years of age, had according to police been on his way to a nearby shop when he was stabbed by a man known both to him and to police for no apparent reason.

Nunez is in stable condition and police are investigating.
