International News: 17 migrants found trapped in train car in Texas

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On Friday, police in Uvalde, Texas found 17 migrants trapped inside a train car, ABC reports.

Mayor of Uvalde, Don McLaughlin said that a total of 17 people were in the container, and 2 were found dead.

They were taken for medical treatment.

Police said that a call came in notifying them that numerous immigrants were “suffocating” inside the train.

Border patrol agents responded to the scene and rendered assistance.
