Taiwan thanks Government of Belize for unanimously adopting a motion to support Taiwan

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Taiwan Embassy in Belize issued a statement expressing gratitude to the Government of Belize for unanimously adopting an important motion to support Taiwan.

Taiwan’s President, Tsai Ing-Wen is scheduled to lead a delegation on an official visit to Belize in early April 2023.

Recently, Belize issued a statement reaffirming its support for Taiwan and Taiwan’s democracy, freedom and self-determination.

In addition, Belize continues to support Taiwan’s participation in international organizations.

The Taiwan Embassy says that the motion by the National Assembly of Belize “demonstrates the genuine friendship and strong partnership between Belize and Taiwan.”

“We want to say “THANK YOU , Belize!”, and will always cherish the strong and healthy bonds between our two peoples and countries,” the Embassy added.
