Woman and two passengers survive accident that totalled their vehicle after a tire blowout

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A woman is recovering from injury after a tire blowout caused her vehicle to flip on the Philip Goldson Highway on Sunday afternoon.

Police say that around 4:05 p.m. 23-year-old Kanice Samuels was driving her SUV between miles 22 and 23, along with her mother Denise Samuels, and brother Denroy Samuels, when the tire on the front passenger side blew out. The vehicle flipped and was extensively damaged, leaving Kanice Samuels with a broken right arm.

She was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) for treatment. Despite the severity of the accident, police say that both passengers showed no sign of serious injury.
