Alfonso Sanchez is the United Democratic Party’s new standard bearer for Toledo West

By Benjamin Flowers: Delegates of the United Democratic Party (UDP) have selected a new standard bearer for the Toledo West constituency, Alfonso Sanchez.

Sanchez went up against Macario Coy at a convention held on Sunday, March 26.

Of the 1,390 votes cast, Sanchez secured 763, while Coy secured 623. There were a total of seven rejected ballots.

The convention forms a part of the UDP’s push to refine its political machinery in preparation for the next general elections.
