BREAKING: Alleged Police thief escapes criminal action, will be charged internally

By Aaron Humes: In what the Commissioner of Police has called one of the “most embarrassing” incidents in the Department’s history, a Corporal of Police has been interdicted after allegedly removing money from the cash bag carried by a conductor on a bus he was traveling on.

But he will not be criminally charged at the request of his victims, the Commissioner said during a briefing.

The incident was captured on a viral video in which the bus’s owner repeatedly questions the officer who is in uniform. After at first denying that he took the money, he finally acceeds and returns the money from where it was hidden in his private area.

The officer has been interdicted and will face internal disciplinary charges, but the Commissioner made clear that there should be no room for him in the Department any longer.
