Full Gospel Church of God celebrates national convention in Belize

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Pastors and churchgoers of the Full Gospel Church of God countrywide convened for a national convention on Sunday, March 26, 2023.

The event was held at the UB gymnasium in Belmopan.

Special invited guests included Dr. Angel Marcial, Pastor Terry Harris and Bishop Pedro Guardado.

The event began with the opening remarks by Belize National Supervisor for the Church of God, Alvaro Padilla who welcomed the churches to the event.

Dr. Marcial spoke about the vision that God has given to us and the calling to serve God.

He also shared that his heart had been touched by a family in Belize and pledged to assist a young believer with a land to cultivate meanwhile the teen finishes school. The young man had been farming on a small piece of land and had not been attending classes to help his family.

He tasked the National Director Padilla with locating a piece of land for him to fulfill the pledge.

Pastor Harris spoke about listening closely for God’s calling, speaking and communicating with God and serving Him wholeheartedly.

Bishop Guardado held a special time for attendees to accept Jesus in their lives and for those who seek to reconcile.

The children of the Church of God ministries across Belize also participated in bearing flags of the nations all dressed in Belizean cultural costumes, a symbol that the Church of God ministries worldwide remain a missionary church.
