International News: 6 dead including 3 children in school shooting in Tennessee

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Law enforcement authorities in Nashville, Tennessee have confirmed that 6 people including 3 children were killed in a school shooting a short while ago, BBC reports.

Nashville’s Fire department noted that there were several patients from an incident at a school.

Police engaged and killed the shooter, a 28-year-old woman.

Two police officers entered the building and moved towards the sound of shots being fired and shot the shooter.

The suspect had 2 “assault-type” rifles and 1 pistol which has been recovered at the scene.

The Covenant School, where the shooting occurred, is a private Christian school that serves students in pre-school through the sixth grade.
