Twin Towns Fire Department collaborate with Fortis Belize for simulation drill

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, the Twin Towns Fire Department collaborated with Fortis Belize to conduct a simulation drill on their compound.

The Fire Department noted that the drill was designed to test the readiness of the staff in the event of an emergency at their facility, and to also identify safety protocols that must be implemented in their fire/emergency evacuation plans.

The Fire Department also tested firefighters response time and operational preparedness.

Responding personnel included 2 fire tenders and 1 ambulance with a fully equipped medic team.

On ground, a fire suppression team was deployed along with a rescue squad.
