Belize City woman charged for slashing ex-lover’s tires

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize City woman is out on bail after being charged with slashing the tires of her ex-lover.

Twenty-two-year-old Monique Tzul appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Monday, charged with a single count of damage to property, to which she pleaded not guilty. She is due back in court on May 29.

Allegations against her are that on March 10, she slashed two tires on a Wingle pickup truck and the back tire of a motorcycle belonging to 45-year-old Cordell Gonzalez.

In a report made to the police, Gonzalez admitted that he was previously in a relationship with Tzul.
