Belize represented at Travel Media Association of Canada’s Munch and Mingle event

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Belize partnered with the Travel Media Association of Canada (TMAC) Ontario Chapter, to host its Munch and Mingle event.

The event gathers travel media and industry partners representing various Canadian publications.

The event provided the opportunity to build relationships and share the adventures of Belize at the Canadian market.

The menu featured Belizean dishes such as shrimp ceviche, panades, fry jacks, and rice and beans with stewed pulled chicken and potato salad.

The signature drink featured a local favorite, coconut, in a coconut mojito.

Co-presenting with the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) was Valdemar Andrade, Executive Director of Turneffe Atoll Sustainability Association.

Andrade spoke on the unique opportunities the Belize Barrier Reef has to offer and highlighted some of the many initiatives in place that are helping to protect and preserve the reef.
