California Humanitarian group visits and contributes to Rotary Projects including Rotary Park in Santa Elena

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On March 27, 2023, the Rotary Club of San Ignacio welcomed the California Humanitarian group from Rotary District 5280.

The group assisted with ongoing works being carried out at the Rotary Park in Santa Elena.

They also contributed to Rotary Projects including the Duck Run Primary School, Rotary Park in Santa Elena Upgrade, Rafael Cal Memorial Scholarships and Eco estufas in Benque.

The group contributed $3000 to projects at the Duck Run Primary and $8000 to the Rotary Park upgrade in Santa Elena.

“We were so happy we got to meet them in person and we are grateful for the wonderful projects they are helping through out Belize,” the Rotary Club noted.

The Rotary Club thanked Rotarians, Rotaracters, Interactors and scholars that joined efforts.

The Rotary Club also thanked governor Carolina Corzo for visiting.
