By Benjamin Flowers: Those who missed the planetary lineup on Sunday and Monday, have one final chance to view the rare spectacle tonight.
Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Uranus, Mars, and the Moon will align in an arc across the evening sky tonight, and most of them will be visible to the naked eye. Those looking to see Mercury may need to use binoculars or other equipment.
Jake Foster from the Royal Observatory in Greenwich explained that the planets are not in alignment, but rather the phenomenon comes from the unique perspective looking from the earth.
The BBC says that today will be the best day to catch the event and that late evening is the best time to try and see it because Mercury and Jupiter will not be visible for long.
The National Meteorological Service of Belize’s latest weather report says that the sun will set at 6:05 p.m.
