Faces hidden, cops Esvin Flores and Salomon Cowo arraigned for murder of Dyandre Chee

By Aaron Humes: After being booked at the Police Station they worked at up to Sunday morning, Esvin Flores and Salomon Cowo were walked this morning with faces obscured across to the Magistrate’s Court to be arraigned on charges of murder.

The two are accused of intentionally and unlawfully causing the death of Dyandre Chee, 19, of Orange Walk Town on March 25 by shooting at him during and after a pursuit of his motorcycle from one end of the town at Palmar Boundary Road to the other near Banquitas House of Culture and San Estevan Bridge.

The charge is an indictable offence and bail is usually denied at the first instance and in most cases altogether until trial.

Coincidentally, Chee was laid to rest today after a procession passing the area where his death occurred, which the court and police station overlook.
