By Rubén Morales Iglesias: San Ignacio-Santa Elena (SISE) House of Culture is conducting a workshop to make sawdust tapestries for the Good Friday Procession.

Karla Pinelo, a community artist from Benque Viejo del Carmen, is collaborating with the SISE HOC in teaching the townspeople how to make the sawdust tapestries that are laid on the streets where the procession will pass.

According to Nalleli Yacab, Benque House of Culture Coordinator, a stencil-making workshop is being held on Friday, March 31, at 3:00 pm, at the SISE House of Culture, housed at the old hospital building.

Sawdust sifting and dying sessions will be held from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday as well, and will continue from Monday to Thursday, April 3-6.
