International News: Pope Francis discharged from hospital; ready for Easter celebrations

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Pope Francis was discharged from the hospital, BBC reports.

The Pontiff was admitted on Wednesday with respiratory difficulties and then diagnosed with bronchitis.

“I wasn’t frightened, I’m still alive,” the Pope said while he left.

Pope Francis waved at well-wishers outside of the hospital.

His hospital admission came before the busiest week of the Christian calendar with celebrations to mark Easter.

The Vatican noted that the Pope is expected to take part in this weekend’s service for Palm Sunday.
