Taiwan Ambassador and Belmopan Mayor discuss future cooperation

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On March 30, 2023, Taiwan’s Ambassador to Belize, Lily Li-Wen Hsu met with Mayor of Belmopan Sheran Palacio.

Ambassador Lily also met with Belize City Mayor Bernard Wagner.

Discussions included future cooperation to further deepen the cordial bonds between the two cities and their sister cities in Taiwan –Taipei City and Kaohsiung City respectively.

“The Embassy is happy to be the bridge between the said cities, and will continue to work with Belmopan and Belize City Mayors and City Councils to strengthen the sister-city partnership with Taiwan,” the Taiwan Embassy said.
