Conyers won in three hours, 49 minutes, and 24 seconds (3:49:24).

2022 champion Katy Sorrell of United States Team Cardinal was third. LA Sweat’s Belizean Kaya Cattouse took fourth ahead of fifth-place American Jessica Chong of Bike Works P/B Fred Beans.

Patricia Chavarria rode in sixth. Mexican Ana Laura García of Team Navecamp rolled in seventh.

LA Sweat’s Mexican Mariana Valadez had a spill just past Lin’s Hardware in Santa Elena. Valadez’s bicycle wobbled; she lost control, cutting right and took down Paulita Chavarria. Both recovered, catching up with the other eight riders pacing along with them, but Valadez later had to abandon the race and Paulita fell behind considerably.

Belizean Kedisha Francis put up a fight in the early going but Conyers took over before Mount Hope before falling behind later due to mechanical problems. She rejoined the pack later on and attacked coming into Belize City between Miles 5½ and 6 to win in style.

Conyers said she didn’t have a spare wheel when she got a flat, but was assisted by Cattouse’s camp. She said that in the end it worked in her favour as she might not have been able to stay up front all the way because of the heat and the strong headwind.
