Belize National Beach Soccer Team to compete in World Beach Games Qualifier in El Salvador

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize National Beach Soccer Team (that’s now the FEB calls it) is travelling to El Salvador to compete in the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) World Beach Games Qualifier. The tournament will be played from April 6-8 at Costa del Sol. Belize opens against the United States on Thursday, April 6.

According for the Football Federation of Belize (FFB), the ANOC World Beach Games to be held in Bali, Indonesia, in August, are the world’s largest sporting event of beach and water sports.

The Men’s qualifying tournament will be played in a knock-out format.

Seven countries are vying for two spots in Bali.

The seven National Teams participating are El Salvador, the United States, Bahamas, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Belize.
