By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Ministry of Blue Economy & Civil Aviation (MBECA) and the Ministry of Finance, Economic Development, and Investment (MFEDI) said on Thursday they are holding three public consultations to share information on the “Promoting Sustainable Growth in the Blue Economy” project funded by the Inter-American Development Bank.
“The project aims to improve income generation capacity of artisanal fisherfolks and maintain export levels of fisheries products while promoting sustainable use of oceanic resources in Belize,” the two ministries said in a press release.
“We value your feedback and input as stakeholders which is why we will be hosting public consultations.”
The consultations will be held at the Sarteneja Village Community Center in the Corozal District at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 11; at the Belize Biltmore Plaza in Belize City on Thursday, April 13; and at The SENter on Fadden Avenue in Independence Village in the Stann Creek District on Tuesday, April 18.
“We encourage your participation and look forward to your input!” the Ministries of Blue Economy and Economic Development said.
