Ministry of Education signs agreement with Ariel Rosado foundation to provide 6 scholarships

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On April 5, 2023, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Technology, Francis Fonseca signed an agreement with the Ariel Rosado Foundation (ARF) to provide 6 scholarships annually for students attending junior college.

“The Ariel Rosado Foundation was born out of tragedy and pain but through its amazing work in Education, has become a source of hope and opportunity for many young people across the country who have been given a chance to further their studies with the support of scholarships provided by the foundation,” Fonseca noted.

Fonseca says that Ariel was a personal friend and was a bright, charismatic, ambitious young man with a bright future ahead of him.

“I know that he would be proud of the work of the ARF and of the Agreement we signed today,” he added.

Fonseca was joined by the Chief Education Officer, Yolanda Gongora and the Director of the Tertiary Unit Dr. Yvonne Palma.

The Ariel Rosado Foundation was represented by Dr. Dorla Rosado and President Leticia Westby.
