Murder victim Francis Augustine stabbed to death at home in Hopkins early this morning

By Aaron Humes: Police continue their investigation into the early morning murder of 38-year-old Francis Augustine of Hopkins, Stann Creek District.

This morning at about 3:55 a.m., police found Augustine’s body with multiple stab wounds inside his residence.

Initial investigation revealed that, at about 3:45 a.m., Francis Augustine was asleep at home when someone entered his room and inflicted stab wounds on him. Francis allegedly jumped through a window and went to seek help from a neighbour but collapsed in the yard.

The body of Francis Augustine was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police investigation continues.
