Belize City man stabbed after argument

By Aaron Humes: A fracas on a basketball court left one man spending the start of his Easter weekend in the hospital.

28-year-old Sanjay Stephens of Central American Boulevard sustained stab wounds to the left upper ribcage, right lower arm, and cut to the right index finger and is in stable condition.

Police investigation revealed that Stephens was on the basketball court on North Creek Road when he and another man known only as “Tony” began to argue, which escalated when “Tony stabbed him.

Stephens was taken to hospital and police investigations continue.
