Taiwan Ambassador meet with Taiwan Coffee and Cacao Mission led by Central American Trade Office

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On April 4, 2023, Taiwan’s Ambassador to Belize, Lily Hsu hosted a dinner for the Taiwan Coffee and Cacao Mission led by Central American Trade Office (CATO) Executive Director Augusto Liao.

The mission consisted of representatives of coffee and cacao manufacturing companies in Taiwan.

The purpose was to explore the potential exportation of Belizean coffee and cacao to Taiwan.

Dr. Leroy Almendarez, Executive Director of BELTRAIDE and Ishmael Quiroz, Executive Director of Economic Development Council also joined in discussing how Taiwan and Belize can work together to improve agro-processing and add value to the agricultural products of Belize, as well as the future business opportunities in the cacao and coffee industry in Belize.

The Embassy says that it will continue to work with the Government of Belize to further promote economic and trade cooperation between our two countries.
