Cyclist and police officer collide in real-time at Blackman Eddy, Cayo

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: In the midst of Holy Saturday’s intense 140-mile Holy Saturday Cross Country Cycling Classic, a dramatic incident occurred as cyclists reached the entrance of Blackman Eddy, Cayo. As the racers approached the roundabout, one cyclist collided with a police officer, resulting in both individuals falling to the ground.

A video capturing the shocking moment was shared on Facebook, quickly garnering attention. Fortunately, Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams, took to social media to confirm that the officer involved is doing well after the incident.

Despite this unexpected event, the iconic Holy Saturday Cross Country Cycling Classic continues to challenge and inspire cyclists across the grueling route.
