Police Department’s head of communications Fitzroy Yearwood in critical condition following stroke

By Benjamin Flowers: Head of Communications for the Belize Police Department, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Fitzroy Yearwood, is reportedly hospitalized this morning following a stroke.

Reports are that Yearwood suffered a massive stroke sometime between last night and this morning, and has been admitted to the hospital in critical condition.

Yearwood had held the post of Communications Director before in his career with the department under former Commissioner Allen Whylie and returned to take up the post back in June of 2021.
