Farmers in Santa Familia engage in training on Climate Smart Agricultural Practices

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Resilient Rural Belize (RRB) and the Pesticide Control Board (PCB) coordinated and conducted a 1-day training session with the Family Food Producer Group of Santa Familia. 

The objective of the training was to educate farmers on climate smart agricultural practices and responsible pesticides usages. 

The group learnt about the Pesticide Certification under the National Certification Program and covered the topic of calibration of knapsack sprayers and calculation of dosages.  

The Ministry of Economic Development thanks the presenters, Selvin Molina representing PCB and Hector Reyes of the RRB.
