Taiwan Embassy thanks Government and people of Belize following President’s visit

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Taiwan Embassy in Belize has extended gratitude to the Government and people of Belize for their support during the visit of President Tsai Ing-wen last week.

During the 3 days visit, President Tsai and her delegation were warmly welcomed by Belizean dignitaries and friends.

President Tsai attended the welcome ceremony with Governor General, Froyla Tzalam and Honor of Guards.

President Tsai handed over 5,000 laptops and delivered an address at the House of Representatives receiving “2023 Resolution to Support Democratic Taiwan Motion.”

President Tsai also attended the Achievement Exhibition of Women Empowerment Program and met with the Taiwanese community members in Belize.

“This milestone visit demonstrates the close and solid relations between Belize and Taiwan. Our two countries will continue to help each other in the international community based on the shared values of democracy, freedom, and people’s right of self-determination,” the Taiwan Embassy noted.

The Taiwan Embassy says that it celebrates the ever-lasting friendship between Belize and Taiwan.
