By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, ten Belizean students met with U.S. Ambassador Michelle Kwan at the U.S. Embassy before they departed for the United States.
The students will participate in the U.S. Department of State’s two-week Youth Ambassador Exchange program.
The Youth Ambassadors Program engages high school students from the region in leadership development, civic education, and community service to help create positive changes in their communities.
“Through this program, we are honored to support these trailblazers and provide them with tools and networking opportunities to inspire them to meaningfully contribute to Belize’s development and prosperity. We are empowering advocates for change and leaders of tomorrow,” the U.S. Embassy in Belize noted.
