Albert Area Representative, Tracy Panton congratulates Senior farmer of the year

Area Representative for the Albert constituency, Tracy Panton has joined in extending congratulations to Adrian Bartley on being selected as senior farmer of the year.

“BIG congratulations Adrian Bartley on being recognized as Senior Farmer of the Year. This is the good stuff. We, your ALBERT Family, are all very proud of what you have accomplished in the past 3 years. Well deserved. Well done. Keep shining your light,” Panton said.

Bartley inherited lands from his mother and began his farm in Rockstone Pond 3 years ago.

Bartley now provides food for a feeding program and a local market.

“We started in earnest about three years ago at the start of the pandemic,” Bartley told the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise.

“We had a feeding program in Belize City where we provided meals for families and individuals that needed it so we couldn’t get chicken. So, with my wife’s blessing and support, I came out here and started to hack at the forest,” he added.
