Deadline approaching for Belize Tourism Board’s $3,000 civic pride jingle competition

Posted: Saturday, April 15, 2023. 10:11 am CST.

By Benjamin Flowers: There is still time to compete for the $3,000 cash prize in the Belize Tourism Board’s (BTBs) civic pride jingle competition.

The deadline for submissions is Monday, April 17. Submissions must be between 30-45 seconds in MP3 format; be easily recognizable or ‘catchy’ with the words “Civic Pride” and “Belize” included in the lyrics.

“The campaign encourages values such as pride and appreciation for Belize, no littering, respect for our national anthem and flag, protection of our flora and fauna, and respect for each other,” the BTB said.

The BTB instructed that all submissions must be submitted and emailed to [email protected] with the subject: “BTB JINGLE COMPETITION” via either Google Drive, WeTransfer, or Dropbox and the lyrics should be provided in a separate document. Contestants must include their full name, address, and phone number.
