Man charged for applying for gun license with false documents

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belize City man is out on bail after submitting a forged document to police.

Belama resident, 28-year-old Owen Ford appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court this week, charged with a single count of possession of a false document.

Ford is accused of applying to the Belize Police Department for a gun license with documentation he knew was false on April 3.

He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of $2,000, plus one surety of the same, which he met.

Ford is due back in court on June 16.
