By Aaron Humes: While Belize is known for being a dog, cat, and kid-friendly country, there is now a dog carrying the same name.

WSAV-TV, an NBC affiliate in Savannah, Georgia, recently featured “Belize,” a 12-week-old Silver Labrador Mix described as an “adorable” and friendly pup that loves to be held and cuddled. According to the article, Belize would do best in a home with another dog to teach her how to be a good girl.

It’s unclear how Belize got her name or whether she has any ties to the country, but she is currently looking for a foster or adopter in the southern United States. Interested parties can apply through renegadepawsrescue.org or contact the organization at 912-665-6046 or [email protected].

If Belize is adopted, her lucky owner should bring her to Belize, the country, after ensuring that she is vaccinated for rabies.
