Mexican and U.S. Officials collaborate in search for three missing American sailors

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Mexican and U.S. officials are collaborating in the search for three missing American sailors, according to a release from the U.S. Coast Guard.

CNN reports that the sailors, Kerry O’Brien, Frank O’Brien, and William Gross, were last heard from on April 4, 2023, near Mazatlan, Mexico. The trio, who are experienced sailors, were traveling aboard Ocean Bound, a 44-foot La Fitte sailing vessel.

They were en route to San Diego but planned to stop in Cabo San Lucas for groceries on April 6. However, there has been no reported sighting of the vessel since.

Authorities have yet to locate the sailors or the Ocean Bound, despite their collaborative efforts in the search.
