Milton Nunez charged with the killing of Valley of Peace businessman Jose Lopez

By Benjamin Flowers: Police have arrested a man in connection with the April 12 murder of Valley of Peace businessman Jose Antonio Lopez which occurred in Belize City.

Police confirmed that on Friday, they arrested and charged 23-year-old Milton Nunez for the crime of murder.

Nunez reportedly exercised his right to remain silent when arrested by police.

Thirty-five-year-old Jose Antonio Lopez was shot in the body during an altercation at an establishment called Cool Spot on Barbara Harris Street. He later died from his injury while receiving treatment at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.
