One of three men accused of burglarizing Telemedia Ladyville office pleads guilty, other two accused remained silent

By Breaking Belize News Staff: One of three men charged with the 2021 burglary of Belize Telemedia Limited’s Ladyville branch office changed his plea from not guilty to guilty, while the others maintained their not guilty pleas.

Twenty-five-year-old Jermaine Wagner changed his plea on Friday and was fined $3,000 plus $5 cost of court. His co-accused, Ricky Chambers and Selvin Linares maintained their plea but maintained their right to silence and offered no defense in court.

The Magistrate has reserved ruling on the other two accused for May 4.

On November 5, 2021, the Telemedia office on the Old Airport Road was burglarized.

If convicted Chambers and Linares could face up to seven years in prison.
