By Breaking Belize News Staff: Police have discovered another illegal gun in the Cayo district as anti-firearms operations that began earlier this week continue.

Reports are that on Tuesday around 10:00 p.m. officers in Roaring Creek Village conducted a search in an abandoned lot where they found a black .09mm pistol and a magazine.

There was no one in the area at the time and the weapon was labeled as found property.

Police announced yesterday that a number of illegal firearms, including two .9 mm pistols, a .38 revolver and a 12-gauge shotgun have been discovered in operations this week. Officers also confiscated an unauthorized bullet proof vest.
