By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Law enforcement authorities in Mexico detained an MS-13 gang leader accused of multiple crimes in the U.S.
According to Reuters, Jose Wilfredo Ayala, 55, was detained after police received a tip. Ayala is believed to be the second in command of the notorious gang.
He is under investigation for murder, robbery, using false documents, possessing weapons of war and public disorder.
Ayala was reportedly using a fake identity and hiding out in Mexico.
Mexico swifty deported him to El Salvador where President Nayib Bukele continues to crack down on violent gangs.
