Justice for Laddie Foundation refurbishes park at Saint Andrew’s in honor of Laddie

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: The Justice for Laddie Foundation has refurbished the park at Saint Andrew’s Anglican in San Ignacio in honor of Laddie Gillett.

“Laddie’s life was taken away at the tender age of 14. He was killed while innocently enjoying the company of his friend. This is a fact,” the foundation said.

The foundation says that Laddie valued friendship and the project was done in his honor.

“Some most incredible memories are created with friends during playtime and while attending school; hence, refurbishing the playground was a natural choice,” the foundation added.

The team assessed the park’s condition and began working on the basketball court, the playhouse and other items that needed a touch of love.

“Seeing the children enjoy playtime in a safe and fun environment gave us a sense of accomplishment and hope. Laddie, we’ve kept your Legacy of Love for your friends alive,” the foundation said.
