Santa Familia Food producer group engage in training organized by Resilient Rural Belize and Pesticide Control board

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On April 12, 2023, the Resilient Rural Belize program and the Pesticide Control Board (PCB) coordinated and conducted a 1 day training session with Family Food Producer Group of Santa Familia, Cayo.

Presenters included Selvin Molina from PCB with assistance from Hector Reyes of RRB.

During the sessions, the group participated in a Pesticide certification workshop under the national certification program. 

They also engaged in the calibration of knapsack sprayers and calculation of dosages. 

The objective is to train farmers in the responsible management of Pesticides and promote climate smart agriculture.
