Suspect detained in Belize City shooting this morning

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Police have detained a man in connection with a shooting in Belize City this morning.

Reports are that the man is believed to be responsible for the shooting of Jervis Valencia, also known as Jervis Diamond, just before noon in the Lake I area of the city.

Valencia was hit in the foot and taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Police apprehended the alleged shooter soon after but no official charges have been laid as yet.
