Prosecution drops case against Orange Walk construction worker accused of unlawful sex with 15-year-old-girl

By Breaking Belize News Staff: This week, Orange Walk resident 37-year-old Daniel Homez walked free from a charge of unlawful sexual intercourse after the prosecution abandoned the case against him.

On Tuesday, Gomez appeared in the High Court of Belize alongside his attorney, Darrell Bradley, where Senior Crown Counsel Sheneiza Smith entered a case of nolle prosequi against him which set him free. No reason was given for the submission.

Gomez was initially accused of an incident back in August of 2020 where it was alleged he had sex with a 15-year-old girl.
