ASP Fitzroy Yearwood to be laid to rest today

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The Belize Police Department along with the family and friends of the late Assistant Superintendent of Police Fitzroy Yearwood are paying their final respects to him today.

His body left the morgue at 10:45 a.m., to pass his Family’s Home in the Yarborough Area to a service of thanksgiving being held at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Baptist on Regent Street.

The Body will Lie in State at 12:00 p.m. for Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m. with the interment following at the Lord Ridge Cemetery.

ASP Yearwood, a career police officer and two-time head of communications for the department, passed away on April 11 after being hospitalized by a massive stroke. He was 47.
